You’re not alone! As your advocate, I’ll be there to support and guide you through the process. My job is to ensure that your voice is heard and to shed light on your child’s rights. Together, we’ll work towards success and make sure your child receives the best education possible.

I will provide information and resources to help you understand the educational system, as well as advocate for necessary accommodations. I will also promote collaboration between parents, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure your child’s individual needs are met. With my assistance, we can identify strengths and weaknesses in order to develop an individualized plan that works towards success.

  • Consult/Advise Parents on 504 Plans, IEPs, Behavior, and programs that meet their child’s needs.
  • Attend meetings either virtually or in the school setting.
  • Assist parents in interpreting reports & evaluations and explain their implications.
  • Bridge the relationship between school and home.
  • Review existing or new 504 Plans, IEPs, and Behavior Plans.
  • Consult/Assist parents when navigating special education law and the processes that public schools follow.
  • File a state complaint and/or due process when the school district does not follow the IEP.
  • Attend Manifestation Meetings

Examples of Additional IEP Team Meetings Include:

  • A Continuation of Previous IEP/EP/504 Team Meeting
  • An Academic and/or Behavior Review/Update
  • An Extended School Year Determination Meeting
  • An Out of State Transfer Meeting
  • A Transition to Kindergarten, Middle-school, or High-school
  • A Change in Placement Meeting (Resource Class, Separate Class, or Special School)
  • A Change in ESE Services and/or a Continuation of ESE Services
  • A Re-evaluation Meeting
  • An Annual IEP Review Meeting
